Is it true some pros' balls are hybrid? .I wonder if the pros had to play with club level plastic balls  . How can the pros get so much spin out of apparently less spinny
plastic balls? is it all about boosting? mmmmmm...... then, pip players are said to be cheaters,..mmmmmm..... I bet something fishy is going on here .....mmmmmm :?:

Do you agree the best balls for 2019 are the following ? :

1.-Nittaku Premium 40+
2.-Double Fish V40+
3.-Xushaofa 40+ 3-star
4.-DHS D40+
5.-Stiga Perform 40+
6.-Butterfly G40+ 3-Star
7.-Xiom 3-star 40+
8.-Tibhar 40+ SL
9.-Donic 40+
10.-JOOLA Flash 40+

Any sources for this statement? I'm quite curious if this is true.

Professionals, if they are not actually boosting their rubber (CNT?) :), get their pick of the best rubber (Boll). Their technique in either case is also such that they get a lot more spin.

As far as ranking balls go, I place DHS D40+ (Ding Ning picture on box) second ahead of the Double Fish V40+.

I used to like the seamless XSF 40+, but haven't played with one for a while..

How do they get more spin than the rest of us?? Technique, of course. And strength. That's why they're pros and we are not. Do you REALLY believe their balls are different?? Rubber, sure - I can be persuaded that at least some of them (CNT) can get rubbers tailor made for them (mainly in choice of sponge hardness). Booster? Sure, why not. But balls??????? Think of all the cans of worms involved.

Yes, those pros are in a different realm. They don't play ping pong.

Yeah somewhat silly to say "hybrid" TT balls I don't know if cellulose and plastic will mix well...
Also if you play at a club you can test your local champ with any ball without telling what ball you are using...
Usually within 1 or 2 strokes they will adapt and you will lose any advantage... Becos they are PROs. You are not as good hence you lose. Git gud instead of blaming equipment

Maybe he does? I'm sure there were lots of pros who protested when the 38mm ball went out, and protested again when speed glue got banned...

The first ones were celluse acetate, the current ones are ABS.

Gambler had an orange celluloid/plastic hybrid ball on the market for a while. It even had USATT approval (though not ITTF). I liked it quite a bit, but at a typical club everyone is used to playing with the various ABS 40+ balls by now so I really only used them in the league we have at work. Incidentally, I performed a burn test on a broken one and it definitely had celluloid in it.

10.-JOOLA Flash 40+

Very different from the perception of players in my region. To me it's more like this:
1. DHS D40+
2. Nittaku Premium 40+
3.-Xushaofa 40+ 3-star
4.-Double Fish V40+
5.-Butterfly G40+ 3-Star
6. The others (which are mostly rebadged of the above)

To me the DHS D40+ spins the best and the quality and consistency is good and the price is good too. The Nittaku seems top quality but does not spin as well and is much more expensive. The Seamless like the Xushaofa are popular amongst a smaller group that like the seamless for the good bounce and high durability, but most regard the spin as amongst the lowest. The Double Fish V40+ has a rough outer surface with lots of dust which is a bit of a pain at the start. The rough surface does not seems to make it any spinnier, roughly similar to the Nittaku. Very few I know like the Butterfly ball, but the quality is good.

... then, not only do pip defenders have stricter regulations but also their game is harmed depending on the different balls that can be used .... incredible !!! ..... In Portugal, it seems the Butterfly G40 * 3 star is often used ,.... in minor leagues ,.....

..... so we have to train with different balls as well,.... |-)
