I found a new way to remove difficult glue from rubber.
First we put black glue tape on the rubber.
After that a baking paper and then we heat it with hot cloth iron .
We remove the glue tape as is still hot and most glue go away. The rest we clean with our finger.

Is "difficult glue" really that much of a problem? I never bother removing glue - I just add more glue on top of the old glue. I can't imagine it being a problem unless you're repeatedly taking rubber off and gluing it back on again, and the only reason to do this is if you're boosting. And if you're boosting, just put the booster on the old glue. It'll soften it up, and then when it's soaked in and dried, the glue will be tacky enough to re-stick onto the blade with a new thin layer of glue on the blade alone.

What's a REAL pain in the neck is removing scraps of foam and glue from a pre-made racket when you want to change the rubber... And a large rubber eraser works pretty well for that. Get the sort made for erasing ink.

I change rubbers to blades to test various setups.
And every time the glue increase the rubber weight around 2 grams ...

Ah.. If you do testing that'd be a good reason.

Which black glue tape do you use?

I've put on water based glue to reglue rubber on a blade with residue glue and the foam ripped. when I tried to remove it.

Any easy way? I've got deteriorated foam/top sheet (brittle) from a very old bat. Using a scraper to remove it but it's still difficult. Any ideas.

Something like this

Begin with Ronson lighter fluid to dissolve the glue, and then try using a large rubber eraser (like I mentioned above) to get the last of the residue. Also make sure you varnish the blade once you've removed the old glue (one light coat of polyurethane should be sufficient).

I've quit using water based glues - too much of a pain in the neck and too much time wasted waiting for it to dry. I use Elmer's Rubber Cement instead. The chances of anyone using a VOC tester on my rackets (and, I dare say, yours, though Igor would wish otherwise) is zilch so why worry about it?

Be careful, though - don't use any of the stronger contact adhesives. Not even UHU Yellow Tube. Use a proper rubber cement used for TEMPORARY bonding of paper. Elmer's Rubber Cement (and the somewhat less common Best Test) were used by publishers back before magazine layups moved to computers (i.e. before Adobe Pagemaker etc.) - people would type up the text on separate bits of paper, and then combine them with photographs on a sheet of graph paper with pale blue lines - these would then be photographed to make printing plates. If you ever edited a school yearbook back in the 1970s or 80s you'd have done this. There are probably similar adhesives in Europe - Faber-Castell comes to mind. I use Elmer's because they import it here. If you are going to use something other than Elmer's or Best Test, TEST FIRST. Try gluing pieces of cut-off onto smooth pieces of wood to make sure that the rubber can be removed smoothly without tearing the sponge.

Try revolution 3 glue. Peels off pretty easily. I find donic glue very difficult to get off, but rev 3 is easy.
