Drawing from Larry Hodges book "Table Tennis Tactics for Thinkers", if you wrote a book about your game, what would it say? Remember the different elements of table tennis include physical, tactical, technical and mental aspects of your game plus anything else you'd like to include.

To quote Larry, "if you couldn't write a book about your game, either you don't know your game, or you have no game".

NO DRUNKEN DRIVING ANY MORE.
Playing the game with illegal rubbers is much like reckless driving under drunk effect.
Massive control of traffics and well-trained traffic police personnel is how can we prevent from traffic accidends all over the world.
If unwatched, all the main USA roads would become an absolute Chaos, you know. Thankfully, we still have a great trained army of green-caps here on American roadways.
_____________
TABLE TENNIS STILL UNWATCHED.
Regretfully, Racket Control is a very scarce institution for the sport of table tennis. So far, we don't have trained manpower enough to do the job locally, neither the advanced inspectorial tools are now available for our Referees, e.g. digital thickness gauge for checking player's racket instantly.
Lack of control is a dangerous thing, you must know. To our displeasure, we can now see a great many players disregard the Laws as to the playing materials. According to our many observations, players are using unduly thick rubbers a lot, modified pimples a lot, trashy rubbers a lot.

The table tennis rules Part 2 is a ruling document mandatory for ALL table tennis events, whether international or local. The rule 2.4.3 clearly set limits for rubber thickness of no more than 4 millimetres. The simple digital thickness gauge can secure FAIR PLAY without fail.
ITTF is strongly asked to take care and give us such a device at affordable price.
At present time, we're able to build up and supply such a device (= a closest analogue to the Butterfly product) internationally, at price of about USD 50.

LET'S SET UP FAIR PLAY ALL OVER THE SPORT.

As a coach I know tells me, if you control the ball in a rally, you don't need to move your feet. ;) Easier said than done :?:

I think if I tried to write a book about my game, I'd realise very quickly that I don't really have a game. I'm good at working on specific aspects of my game, but never put much thought into strategy or how to put everything together.
No doubt if I did, it could do wonders for me game....but that's assuming I'm actually capable of analysing my own game, and coming up with a plan.
