Does anyone have an easy to understand set of signals (under the table or may be some other means....telepathic would be ideal) that can be used ?

One signal that does not seem to be used at all (in case of 2 rightys or 2 leftys together as partbers) is which direction I am moving after I serve such as, just left, back & left or right etc)

For spins ( or no spin ) it gets very confusing because there are so many serve variations (long, short, side, top, under and no spin) as well as which side I will use (smooth or pips side) etc

What do you propose ?

I have always wondered why the partners just don't talk to one another. Unlikely the opponents could hear.

"I am going to serve short backspin and then move to my left"

Most signals I see in videos are just to signal what spin they're going to use (top, bottom or no spin). Very useful when all your serves look alike but have disguised spin, and especially when you're playing against long pips. Then again, these are international class players, and they've been playing and training as doubles partners for a while and understand each other. Another thing I've noticed - in many cases it's the partner who is not serving, who has to deal with the return, who gives the signal (and therefore chooses the serve).
