Anything similar to what Kees has done about playing with 'frictioned' anti available for FA-L play?
Thanks,
tOD

After watching the videos of players using frictionless anti-loop a friend, who is new to FA-L, asked if I could find some information on how to best use it. He recently purchased sometime Timeless. I played with it a little bit today and it seems to have marvelous possibilities. Some of my LP strokes worked and some didn't, but it was grand to see a 2000 (USA) level struggling mightily to re-loop after several goes. He even struggled a bit with the loop one, push one style against it.

Things to consider when playing a slick-anti:

1) This is not a 1:1 substitution for pimples, it plays different, is more complicated and it requires a lot of training to manage the transition from pimples

2) The more spin a loop has, the more it will have contact with the sheet and thus will roll on it/try to dig into it- this will require you to open the bat more, the more spin the loop has. This is entirely counter intuitiv and is the opposite to short pimples/pilples/inverted rubbers

3) Fast loops with hardly no spin – play with the angle of how much you close your bat, but it needs tob e more closed than when more spin comes

4) 2) and 3) require you to asess how much spin is in a loop much more than with any other sheet. One rule to consider: a very fast loop cannot bear that much spin, spinny loops tend to be slower.

5) Attacking requires practice as there is no grip

6) The block is done with no downward movement or movement with the hand at all. Your aim is to have a very short contact phase oft he ball with the sheet. More spin reversal/spin transition is accomplished when the loop i staken as soon as possible (as close to volley as possible)
