Hi ping pong lovers,
My name is Martin and I am new to this forum.
I have an Butterfly Amicus Advanced robot and when I read about that it could be upgraded, I definitely wanted this but to a fair price as my robot is used.
Now when I have looked for upgrade kits, I noticed that at all descriptions it can upgrade from Basic, Advance or Professional to Prime, but then I see that many are sold at different prices Basic-Prime, Advance-Prime and Professional-Prime (cheapest).
Before this upgrade kit I think I read that one could upgrade by just switching the control unit to go from e.g basic or advanced to Professional. If so, then the upgrade kits should be the same hardware, because they all replace the control unit with a pad.
As all are upgraded to Prime, the app which is the software that controls the robot after upgrade should also be the same.
So therefore I wonder if I could just buy an upgrade kit for Professional-Prime (cheapest) and install this on my Advance robot? Are there any hidden differences between the upgrade kits, except the prices?
I asked a Butterfly sales guy if I could use a Basic-Prime upgrade kit (if I found a cheap one) and he said that it should work. So at least I know it works that way.
Looking forward to more information on this.

I have same issue. A also think that upgrading amicus advanced to prime using the kit I can purchase the $699 as if I have the advanced. Have you done it? Did it works?
