Not that I know of. I think I was the one that made it furthest, but never got the project done. I built the controller unit, custom circuit board that fit in a box about twice the size of a pack of cigarettes, and had a prototype control app that ran on the iPhone. A friend did the control app to run on Android, and he presented the app to Butterfly at a trade show. At that point we were losing motivation and wanted Butterfly to take it off our hands. They seemed very interested, but never followed up, and we lost interest in moving forward with the app/controller.

SMGbab - regarding figuring out the motor speeds, what I did was to build a little rpm detector that could count wheel rotations using a light meter reading a stripe I painted on each of the wheels. This worked very well. I also used this to correlate rpms with motor voltages.

Hi!
I would be very grateful, if there is anybody who can provide infos for me to
control the stepping motors (which hardware fits best to control these 3 motors etc...) or at least infos for getting started.

Dave T, steff76, SMGbab16... are you still reading here? :)

pm or post here would be great!

In case anyone is still interested in this, I've open sourced my custom controller at https://github.com/oliverchang/sucima. It has designs for a PCB, a PWA which communicates with the controller via bluetooth, and an arduino sketch.

Maybe a stupid question, but what's the purpuse of the controller and how do use/open it? Thanks.
