Thank you. Yes I am. I've been very quiet on the PathfinderPro channel other than posting local league videos. That will change hopefully some time this year. I'm in close contact with forum member vedroitt about using his table tennis robot "TenniRobbo" as the basis of all my future rubber and equipment tests.

Homemade table tennis robot with Android bluetooth control - viewtopic.php?f=67&t=31050&p=357828#p357828

The intention of my testing will be to allow accurate comparisons across all brands and the option to link a players style and ability to a particular rubber. To do that I need a robot which is flexible in it's placement, mobile and allows independent control of speed and spin along with useful measures of speed and spin. Deciding on the tests, the test equipment and a way of ensuring consistency across all tests are currently being devised. Unfortunately people often want something for free - me included - so finance, time (family, coaching and work commitments) along with my health are an issue at the moment for me.

Testing is definitely something I've not given up on but when I do start again I want a system of testing that adds value to a players decision making about what rubbers/blades and equipment to buy, and one which won't constantly need changing - it's very much a get it right first time. Problem then of course is that I get nothing done because I'm constantly trying to make sure the start up is right! To that end I keep in contact with a couple of members here and seek their feedback. The time is getting close, but I'm not ready yet and it won't involve trainerbot.

Ah the joy of testing equipment.

Chen's brothers, both citizens of USA. They love you all. They did recently came out with a new device, far superior to the Trainerbot misty thing. It is a realistic device you will get for affordable money of 17 USD.

/Be happy/
