I was one of the subscriber for Trainerbot in kickstarter, Got frustrated waiting for it. We started a fun project to see if we can build our own Robot. After a few iterations we have one that we are able to use. Here's a video of it in Action

the Trainerbit guys totally ignored my in all attempts at communication. I would not be surprised if they just cut and run from their kickstarter.

How many balls does this one you made hold?

We have used a locally available container, it holds 100+ balls.

Looks promising, great effort if you've built this yourself!

Yes the hard bit is of course making a production model, which is consistant and reliable.

haggisv True, To take it to production is a lot of work and expensive.

We began the project for fun and had not thought of doing it commercially but if there is interest we want to at-least provide some parts and instructions for DIY'ers to make one that is easy to assemble.

Where does one post stuff like this? GitHub, I'd imagine... though you might post it here, too. I'd be interested to know how it's put together, especially the controller bits - are you using Rasberry Pi or Arduino or something else? Any 3D printed parts? Probably stuff from Banggood...
