Has anyone seen or used both? Power pong 5000 is currently $1849 and Amicus Prime $2149. I'm trying to decide between the two. So far the differences I can see are:

1. 5000 3yr warranty, prime 2yr.
2. 5000 has hardwired controller plus can use android or IOS app, prime comes with wireless android tablet and app support as well
3. No mention if 5000 has same small 4 button wireless controller as prime, that is used to start and stop the ball delivery and speed up or slow down ball delivery.
4. Amicus has 3 random modes scatter, placement and spin, 5000 only scatter.
5. Prime you set spin position speed and trajectory, 5000 you set spin position speed and trajectory is calculated.
6. Prime you use sliders in the software to position the ball, 5000 you place drag the ball to the correct position on the table.
7. Prime comes with carry bag, 5000 does not.
8. Both robots use the same mechanical head.

Has anyone used both robots and have any comments on the differences?

If you factor in the cost of the carry bag and the android tablet (if you need one), the price of the two robots is almost the same.

I'm also trying to figure out if the control box (similar to the 3000)+ app on the 5000 is an advantage or disadvantage of the purely app driven tablet on the Prime.

Any experienced recommendations on which one to purchase would definitely be appreciated!

Well, I found out why this thread is likely to not see any replies. Although the amicus prime has been out for a bit, I did not realize the power pong 5000 is still vaporware. I got notified that although the power pong 5000 is in stock and available for purchase, the IOS and Android apps will not be released for another two weeks.
And well, who knows if there will be any delays on top of that. Until then, the 5000 is pretty much a 3001 machine as the control box it ships with looks the same.

I will likely take a chance on the power pong 5000 due to the cost savings.

It's $1,749 if you buy direct from PowerPong.org and use the discount code: BL5000

Thanks for sharing. Too late for me, I paid $1849, but I'm sure others in the market will appreciate the knowledge. At that price there is a pretty good price gap between the amicus and power pong.

I got the power pong 5000 and have to say it is fantastic. Everything that I expected. Ability to throw almost any kind of ball. Truly amazing the drills that can be ran.

App isnt released yet, but I think I will be happy with the combination of app and physical control panel vs just the tablet and app on the amicus prime.
