Hey guys. First post here.
I just wanted to know if there is any table tennis robot that is 3 wheeled (i.e can produce balls of different spins in one sequence/drill. for e.g in one drill, the robot is able to throw an underspin ball, then a topspin ball and then a no spin ball and so on, all in one drill), which costs less than or equal to $1000. I know butterfly and Robopong have those robots but they are super expensive and well over a $1000. I know TenniRobo robot is ideal, but any other robot? Right now, I am looking to get the HUI PANG S6 Pro robot from ali express, since my budget isnt that much. But would love a robot which can produce different spins in one drill. I would even be willing to consider used robots. If so, if anyone could send me a link regarding that.
Would love input from you guys.

Hi

I recommend these two:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/17 ... pong-robot edit: pls don't check this looks like they never going to finish it kinda scammy

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jo ... a-infinity

Or you can try to build one for yourself
https://www.robotshop.com/community/rob ... 4WT7Uaiuls

You can buy all the pieces from aliexpress relatively cheap, I currently building one for myself and I bought every necessary part under $70 sum.

cheers

Interesting - I am also considering getting a robot. I had a Newgy Robo Pong for a while... it was "okay". I've been admiring the Power Pong models, but they're not cheap....

The ones Arnie recommended seem to be kickstarters - ie you'll get them at some point in the future if you sponsor them.

Watching this thread with interest.

Yeah sorry, I didn't check them properly anyhow,

Joola Infinity claims that they will start the delivery this year December.

I double checked and the trainerbot seems kinda fishy since on Kickstarter they promised the delivery start on 2017 March and the IndieGoGo is said that they will start sending it out at 2019 April.
But still no news regarding that matter so yeah be careful.
Although it looks like they are still working on it:

I have been using this one daily since early April. Covid sanity saver. It's my fourth robot. Much better than Amicus pro. Happy to answer any questions.

Great robot that can do any spin, speed or serve type and I have had excellent customer service.

There are few things I find more annoying than a page entitled 'pricing' which actually means 'we won't tell you how much it costs unless you give us your contact details'. Hard fail.

From this review, last year, indicates price is around $700 ... which is amazing value, by the look of things. Would love to hear of experiences of BRS and Maurice!

Yes, ~$700 then shipping. I paid 765 usd or something for express and got it in two days.

It serves short very well. It's tripod mounted so balls aren't always from the center of the table. The random mode when you use a single shot is excellent. Sergey says random mode will be coming to drills soon which will be even better.

But the way I use it now is to set ranges for spin, speed, placement, and the interval between balls. That last one is the most important imo. The trouble with robot practice is it turns you into a metronome. Then you play a game and the ball doesn't come in a set rhythm and you can't handle it.

This robot is by far the most realistic and least boring to train with of any I have had. Which is newgy 2040, the touchscreen paddlepalace one, and bty amicus pro. Tennirobo is twice as good and costs half as much.

I love this robot after owning a few others.

I can set it up to do a double the pro spin level for a sidespin serve and let a ex pro coach try to return the ball. He got 1 out of 10 in. Fun to see him miss the table.

Great customer service in my experience.

Recommended.

Just another note on this robot. I took it to my club yesterday. Its very portable so it is dead easy to move and set up. Just attach to the tripod, connect to power and open the app.
I think this is a great feature for a coach.
The guys and a women had a lot of fun trying to loop heavy long backspin and also very heavy topspin.
Next week they can try heavy side spin serves
