I washed the table tennis balls before use. I use only 3 star balls. I keep getting white shavings on the outside of the Newgy 2055 robot. Is my Newgy shaving off the balls surface? The robot is about 2-3 months old.

I've seen that before with a Newgy robot, so I'm pretty sure the answer is yes.
It may that your batch of balls is slightly bigger than average, even if they're still within the legal tolerance.

I don't know if there's much you can do though... things will probably improve over time as bits 'wear in'.

What balls are you using?

All 40+ balls...Nittaku Premium, Butterfly 3star, Stiga 3star, Tibhar 3star, Gewo 3star, and when Newgy guy told me to use the recommended Newgy balls, I purchased 2 dozen Newgy 2 star balls and used those with the same results.
There was a time when I separated each brand and tested each one at a time. Same results.

I don't think that's normal...something is a little too tight within the channel that the balls comes through. We used to sell these robots for many years, and I've only seen this once in a single robot.

The fix might be simple... you might just have to file something down a little, but I would contact Newgy or the shop you bought it from for advise or suggestions. Only follow their advice or suggestions, or else it might void the warranty.
