It's interesting to see quite a few rubbers removed form the list as well. I must say I find that addition quite useful, and if I remember correctly, it was OOAK forum that suggested this to the ITTF.

Ttatoz???? Never heard of this brand before (and now all it's rubbers are being removed... ).

Interesting that LKT Black Power and Red Diamond are being removed. Wonder if Eacheng will put them on sale soon..

Like those four sheets of Donic Akkadi Taichi I bought.. not on the list any more (if they ever were..). Only paid $5 a sheet so I'm not complaining

They're not actually being removed, you can now find them under the KTL brand. LKT having been loving all their rubbers over to the new brand name.

Ah.....

So if I look around I should find pictures of both. Interesting.

Indeed:

I wonder if they managed to change all the ID strips, too, without having a transition period where the packaging said one thing and the rubber the other... might be interesting to open a KTL package and find a LKT-labeled sheet inside.

Just the sort of thing to make me spend money just to satisfy my curiosity.... Image

Bryce Long fell off the list somehow...

In the earlier days of OOAK (and a really RAD forum that doesn't exist anymore) (NOT about.com) we had some LULZ and made up all kind of stuff. Bryce Long was one of them, a legendary LP rubber with scary incredible offensive potential.

That was almost as good as my review of the Schilkrot 900 if you care to look at OOAK reviews for that one... We all had a blast discussing those.

Interesting that Xiom's Sigma 1 rubbers are out. I mean, it's not a big deal since Sigma 2 is out but I wonder what caused Sigma 1 to be removed from the list.

Wow, I missed that bit
Yes that's a bit of a worry, especially for players that are using this rubber, who would be forced to change.
It makes me wonder as well, if this was instigated by XIOM (who perhaps felt this rubber was not popular enough to justify paying the ITTF fees) or if the ITTF found something that caused removal.

If that were the case I think they would have gotten rid of the old Omega rubbers. Who honestly is playing with Omega 1? It can't be popular in 2015.

Well, at some point in time they would have to discontinue older products to make way for the new. They could do what the Chinese do -use the same topsheet mold even though they add a "II" or a "III" to the name, avoiding the necessity of having to register or deregister things with ITTF. But apparently some companies don't do this.

Yes but Sigma 1 isn't very old. Omega 1 is considerably older and it's still approved. For what reason?
