Of all the "christmas carols" I've come across in the last few years, this has to be my all-time favorite.

This should have been posted a week ago. In the US there are certain "news" outlets that claim that there is a "war on Christmas" by certain groups of people. If only they knew.. (But that's what you get when you demonize the teaching of history in schools.. )

When I was in college, there was this group called the Society for Creative Anachronism - they'd don armor and fight each other with swords made of rattan wrapped in duct tape. This seems to be SCA raised to the next three levels.



Looks like the Americans got wiped out. Twice.

Kinda sorry I watched this, because now the YouTube algorithm is bringing up lots of these.

The YouTube algorithm brought this up. Amazing skills.. she talks a mile a minute in Spanish, giving a lot of background about what she's going to play. The actual playing starts about halfway through.

I saw that last week. The video sort of de-mystifies it.. when you start watching this you wonder how they do it.

The YouTube algorithm, for some reason, suggested this to me the other day.



I haven't heard this in years! It was part of the background soundtrack when I was in high school - it was, with other stuff, constantly playing on the radio. It was the heyday of Disco (ugh), so I tried to tune most of it out. I wasn't much of a Bee Gees fan at the time (though I really liked their stuff from a few years previous to this), but I didn't mind this one.
