Hi all, I once heard somewhere that those who play table tennis are multifaceted. So, is that true? Btw, how many sports can you play aside from table tennis?

VULGARIC PUGILISM .

Jack of all trades would be master of none, as a general rule.
For me, the pugilistic exercises can make your muscularity as strong as a pendulum hammer. I like pugilistic sessions, if performed with no hand protection.

I played collegiate basketball and tennis. Didn’t come around to table tennis until late.
I do believe that table tennis would have translated to me being better at tennis and basketball. There’s a different urgency in table tennis to how quickly you need to get a read on your opponent and what they do well and poorly that would have helped a lot. In tennis too many matches are lost rather than won. Overall the mental aspects of table tennis really translate well to other sports. You must be quick mentally.

I love disc golf! I have a nice tree-dense court only a few 100 meters from my home. I have almost as many discs as I have table tennis rubbers :bang:

The feeling you get when you find a perfect line at throw your disc (preferebly a distance driver) with a perfect smooth throw, and it just glides through the air, 100 meters away - wonderful. But that is like 1 in a 1000 tries, you will hit many trees on your way there :D

Also, nailing a put from 20+ meters is also a nice feeling.

I used to play Squash (the British version, not the American) when I was in high school, but I developed tennis elbow.

By the way, Ojio Yuna's a National champion boxer in her age class, in addition to being on the Japanese Girl's Team. Who, you ask? This person:

You'll notice she already has a World Youth Champs gold medal already:

(You'll notice another couple familiar names in there - Matsushima Sora and Harimoto Miwa. Interesting that they're allowed to pair up with other nationalities in Doubles - it counts for half a medal for each if they win. It would be interesting to read the entire draw for the Doubles and Mixed Doubles - there might be other interesting pairings who didn't reach the medals rounds.)

Doesn't the name imply boxing as well?
