Anyone have any bids of inverted retrievers? I'm more chopper but I think I may be morphing to more all round and retriever because I'm just taking what the opponent gives me these days and chopping isn't always the best stroke. Preferably higher level amateurs so I can make some sense of the footage. |

Hi Japsican, Welcome to the brotherhood. Unfortunately, as the curator of this little corner of the OOAK forums, I am more of a player and less of a video watcher. Hopefully others may know of high level amateur inverted retrievers and have seen videos of them. You could take a look at the small list of professionals that tend a little towards inverted retrieving and look at their videos. I had noticed from your blog that you were wanting to chop more but have to deal with what the opponent gives you. Choppers (both from what I have seen and read) initially try to lure opponents to loop (hopefully) weakly to get the chopping going, however there can be a fine line between that and setting them up for you to lose. Edit: Have you looked at this thread for the video & reference to another thread? http://ooakforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=23950 |

Eric Fountain is a 1800 level retriever who posts videos of himself at mytt. I don't think he's inverted x2 though. Here's his youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeTUafh0AfDS0u_7T-YdBqQ |

I'm not sure that what I am is truly a retriever, but I find myself doing a little bit of everything these days. Attacker... Chopper....lobber...blocker...looper...and I'm a master of none it seems. ![]() But it's a ton of fun. And 'artistic' for lack of a better word. I'm getting my ass kicked a lot though...however I'm learning a lot. Taking what they give me...that's what I attempt at least. Sent via Tapatalk |

Hey guys, I thought you might enjoy videos of this guy: Martin Voss. He used to play Oberliga in Germany (Landesliga now), which is just about the highest level an amateur player can reach. His playing style is lobbing every ball. It's incredible. |

When lobbing, is it best to lob as high as the ceiling allows, or is a 6-8 foot lob adequate? Iskandar |
