The last years many young players has been using other types of serves than the "old" players. Mr Walder used (uses) mostly versions of fH pendelum serves, like sooo many others. Then came the reverse pendelum with Timo Boll, that many delevoped (look at Mattenet for an extreme version). Now it feels like only old people uses that serve. Many youngsters are back at versions of pendelum but some has taken Per Gerell's serve to higher level. One of them is young and upcomming Swede Anton Källberg. He is competing in Hungary Open right now. He sometimes uses an aggressive FH serve to opponnets BH (if right handed) but also sometimes a short top spin version to opponents FH, and anything in between. I am trying to learn my own version of this serve. Are there any more who has any experience from this modern serving? The benefits of this serve is that it is very hard for opponent to read if it is back spin, no spin or top spin.

Check out this video where you can se the original Pär Gerell tricking serve wiz Werner Schlager, from 6:20

Also, check this one:

Here is Anton vs Ouaiche

And from the same competition as Anton's match, Pär Gerell vs Ouaiche (the poor frenchman did not have a good weekend in Sweden):

Are there any more known players that uses this type of serve?

Yes! Of course, forgot about him. He has a very good serve compared to his playing level.

I was a little quick to judge him I guess. I noticed Gsvin beat Xu Hui when he played in Sweden's highest league a few years ago. Xu Hui would be ranked at least top 50 in the world, he beat Hou Yingchau in Champions League in november last year.

Thanks for posting this. I watched it, practiced it for like 30 min, and it garnered me several points due to the ease of variation you can produce.

Jian Fei Sun also has a similar shovel motion.

In a sense it's like a pendulum serve without the whip, so you can always add a bit of snap either way at the end for effect or misdirection.
