RB, one week will do it for most to learn the alphabet without looking at a chart.

As for Bars, I metup with him at US Open. Like MNAY people, I was approached and I had no idea who they were, I even had someone from 10 years ago do that and I embarrassingly had to ask where/when...

Bars did some serves and I think he is WELL over the hump. Makes the correct bat angle, spin is good, can make it decently short when he wants to as surprise, seems to grasp importance of grip pressure. He get most of the stuff right. His serves were a few inches over the net inviting flip, but what the heck, I wasn't at his point of development after 6 full months, so give him the credit.

The height of serves will improve with more practice at table. He will need to get the angles of impact for dead ball and top spin, but he is deep on his way to the required touch, so I think these variations will come easily enough to him in time with some deliberation, practice, and cheering on from forum members.

i was about 5 hours in before the tournament.. ball control while serving was higher then normal. reverse serve was stronger then normal and won me many points. Though my focus was poor late into the tournament the small amount of practice set me up in earlier matches to play Comfortably and saved me energy.(which is very important for me)
