When you thrown the ball up, do you practice varying where you make contact on the blade to vary the amount of spin you get?

Yes, this is very important for no spin and heavy spin serves. Near the edge for heavy spin, near handle for less spin.

Yes, this is a basic serving skill imo. If you don't do this already then learn it, it will improve your service a lot. My no spin serve, disguised as a heavy backspin, is probably the serve I get most points from. Especially when it's 9-9 and my opponent is too scared of putting the return in the net.

With an OverSize blade it becomes insanely effective! :lol: Disguise ANYTHING! :lol:
