Ok, I can now confirm that if I try to open the forum using an Android device then I get the Error. If I change the useragent of the browser to "desktop" then it works without problem.

Great that it's back - I thought, since there weren't any announcements on any of the other TT forums for a while, that I'd missed some important message about the site migrating somewhere else.

I suspect this is related to caching... it's still caching the site with the error page. If you managed to clear that cache (good luck, I could not figure it out on my phone!), it should work again. Otherwise it will just take a little longer for the cache to expire.

Im glad we got the Forum back so soon considering the scale of the disaster.

Maybe pay for a monthly mirror backup of the existing data on Amazon S3 or somewhere else with encryption ? So even in the event of total failure, you could potentially be back with another Service Provider. Of course, it may not be worth the cost, so depends on how much you can spare and how critical is the forum data

Personally I think you should just glean the best bits of info with some forum moderators and sticky some topics, create some HOWTOs, INTROs, BASICs, GENERICs, ADVICEs, etc but put it up on your main site separate from the forum. Even get some Endorsements / Sponsors for product specific to company and market the articles on said products.

Other than that I can't think of ways to preserve some of our sanity and data
