Post subject:  Which beginner training balls to start with, including robot

I am a beginner will have a Newgy 1050+ next week and looking to get a lot of decent but best-value balls. I assume I want to learn with 40+ poly balls, and standardize on something so I can buy more and not have them mixed up.

Here are some links I found to potentially good value balls that I could load a 1050+ robot with and also practice with my kids, who are also learning:

57 cents each (seamless): http://www.dandoy-sports.com/xushaofa-1 ... ng-40.html

56 cents each - are these 40 or 40+?: http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/ ... rral-sites

71 cents each (seamed): http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/ ... 20pcs-seam

Or from paddle palace for 74.5 cents each but have store logos on them: http://www.paddlepalace.com/Nittaku-J-T ... nfo/BNAJK/

53 cents each and longer delivery: http://ttnpp.com/store/ball/768-kinson- ... cs-39.html

30 cents each ABS 40+ Sanwei https://www.megaspin.net/store/default. ... 1-star-100

DHS - 45 cents per ball (not in stock): http://www.tabletennis11.com/other_eng/ ... balls-seam

I am leaning toward the Nittaku, but only based on what I have read.

I guess ideally poly balls would be better however if you are beginner just get any balls. I use DHS 1* 40mm and in drills you really don't notice any different. Get any half decent ball and you will be fine, just don't get some no name brand off eBay as they could be complete rubbish.

Mine are a mixture brands of 40+ poly including some j-tops and DHS 1 star. The DHS are fine, I probably won't buy the j-tops again unless I find them on special.

I went with 120 Nittaku-J from TT11.

I didn't see the Sanwei 40+ ABS for 30 cents each until now. I wonder if I should have gotten those for robot? They don't seem popular at all, which is odd given their low price and lack of negative reviews. On AliExpress they have a 4.9 average rating with lots of reviews.
