Hi,

I was watching the Xu Xin vs Wang Chuqin Korea Open match (https://youtu.be/c8kmqkxhgkE), and I thought I noticed what seemed like 2 different balls being used ???

I saw the ball when the camera zoomed in @ around 0:44 - 0:45 ( I could not identify the make), and then once again around 4:01, where I could clearly identify the ball as a DHS one.... Both balls seemed to have different logos...

Am I mistaken .... ? or, is it common to have different brands of ball in the same tournament/match ?

It's the same ball, with two logos one opposite to another, one the ball maker logo and the other the tournament logo. Like:

If they're using these at the Korean Open (instead of Xiom or Nexy balls) then they're probably quite good. I was thinking of trying some:

They do come in orange, by the way:

but the orange ones don't have the natty logo on the back.

DHS also sell their version of a the World Championship ball, also with a second logo on the other side. They sell them for more than their regular balls, but I don't think there is any difference in performance... just a novelty.

Judging from what I've gotten from this particular dealer in the past I'm sure they'd be legit. They're just bulk-packed, probably in a larger box.

The same logo? (The "two horns" one..) I've ordered some of the Double Fish balls - kinda curious about what they're like. Hopefully not like their earlier plastic (cellulose acetate) balls, which weren't that good. Their celluloid ones used to be excellent. Also ordered some of the Joola ones - I suspect these would just be re-labeled DHS D40+ balls (or they might be Double Fish V40+).
