Anyone notice any material difference in playability?

I just got in a box of each and i can’t really tell the difference. Both are acceptably round, the one stars have a visually noticeable dot/dimple at the poles of the balls, but does not affect play. I wonder if the difference between the two is largely cosmetic?

Igor's been claiming that these DJ40+ balls are soft, and it's a plot to make it even harder to beat the Chinese. And he's been posting a lot of unrelated nonsense about it.

DJ40+ is heavier in feeling then D40+. Even more direct and less spin then D40+.
