Blade: Sardius
FH: Tacky Drive Butterfly
BH: Butterfly Super Anti
Wanted to get some options on my new setup:

Gambler 5 ply zebra wood blade (I love the handle feel).
Gambler 7’s on forehand
Gambler GXL

I use windshield wiper grip, and play mostly with one side. How long will it take me to get used to this setup? Thanks

Blade: 729 HS Champion carbon
FH: Razka X max, black
BH: SavigaV LP 1.0 red/green
Based on your signature blade I expect it will take a little while. Super fast sardius blade...antispin being replaced by 5 ply and LP? And gambler 7 is very much of a control rubber (I liked it freshly glued, but it is not fast)

Oh... I just mentioned checking out Gambler - looks like he's already done it..

Is this the Zebra Classic Oversize or the Exotic Zebrawood IM8? The former would be all-wood, the latter has a couple layers of carbon and would be faster. The former would be for a defensive/allround player, the latter for someone who attacks, I think. Not sure if an oversized blade would help or hinder with your style, if you're using a modified Seemiller grip and need to get your finger/thumb around the blade edges...

The Zebrawood and Rosewood blades seem reminiscent of all those Stiga (and similar) Ebony and Rosewood blades - they essentially have a harder surface ply than the usual blades on which they are based, not sure what this does - probably makes the blades slightly faster and changes the resonance frequency a little, this would change how the blade "feels". The likes of Xu Xin use them.
