I don't know anyone who's played primorac/bryce unglued, but plenty of top players in aus use it :P

Brett Clarke was one.

If you've having problems with control, you may want to step back to something like Sriver EL. Works fine (but not brilliantly) unglued.

I wouldn't recommend a Butterstiga as a beginner equipment that's for sure!

Hi, I hate playing with tacky rubbers, are the 729 focus 1/2/3 good for beginners?

Are there any other rubbers from friendship that are not tacky?

5 years ago, i wanted to restart playing table tennis after a long break. At that time the old shopkeeper recommended and sold me a
Grubba Pro ST (ALL-) with
Vari Spin on both sides (i think they were both 1,9mm thick)

So i think his idea was a very elastic ALL-Blade with medium/medium-hard allround euro style rubbers (AFAIK Vari Spin is a slower kind Sriver L). I hated that blade, but maybe he was right, and i would play much better now, if i had stuck to this setup.

In generally I played too fast setups over the years. My first blade (about 17 years ago) was a BTY Firehand with Sriver L and it felt awful. I think because it was too fast. After i restarted playing table tennis i changed my equipment often, and i've tested approx. 40 blades and 30 rubbers. At the moment i think that i have to re-learn the basic strokes, i think that im a newbie again.

Cream and fasters are generally less tacky

They say emulation/copying is the best form of flattery you know Choi :P

It was about time for Silver to change his avatar anyway lol. :P

However, I think avatar theft should not go unpunished. Anyone got any ideas?

Mike I like Choi's idea better cos I wouldn't waste any custom title on a newb, and besides he doesn't quite qualify yet. About 194 posts short

We could Zane him...oops (typo) I mean Cane him, but he might enjoy that :P    or we could all steal his Avatar and make it very ununique

Because in my school the coach buys the rackets for us, almost all the boys have the Joola Cava for the forehand and the girls have sriver. but for some reason, the coach bought doublefish 1615 for EVERYONE for their backhand. thats why many people in my school are blockers and im the only chopper!

But the Joola Cava is not bad for beginners cuz its actually very spinny and its very good for looping. it has a very hard sponge tho.

Here's a begining setup for a defensive player:

Matsushita Pro
Cream MRS 1.8
Friendship 837 1.0

Not trying to get into whether or not a beginer should use pips, just offering a good easy to control setup

Nice I am a defender by nature. What are Cream MRS and Friendship ?
