The lead time on the Sanwei with 729 is a few weeks, but I can get a T88 within 48 hours. TS7 with T88 https://www.amazon.fr/Sanwei-TS7-Club-R ... 171&sr=8-3 TS7 with T88iii https://www.amazon.fr/Sanwei-T88-iii-Ba ... 171&sr=8-4 Looking at the revspin reviews these rubbers do not seem hugely different from the 729 in terms of speed and spin, though the reviews say that this is "heavy". I feel a bit like doc Emmett Brown having leapt forward 35 years and people are using "heavy" in an unfamiliar context. Does this simply means that the rubber (and therefore bat) weighs more than others? My schoolboy physics would lead me to infer that it would therefore be more dense, so the ball will not go in to the rubber as much, and with a couple of nano-seconds less contact time you do not get the opportunity to impart as much spin or control. Will it come off faster F=MA and all of that? IMHO the extra 5g per side will make little difference to me as I am just starting over (and I would not notice the difference). But I am very happy to be told that i am wrong. Thank you |

I have used the T88-iii for 4 x 2 hour sessions now. My initial thoughts are that it feels spinny, and affords good control on the blade with which it shipped. It does not seem especially fast (rubbers are 2mm), and the throw is manageable when blocking fast topspin. As I have just started over it's great for now, but down the road I would like something faster for my forehand side. I would probably get a complete set up rather than replacing the rubber on the blade. What suggestions would you have for blade + spinny control back hand, and fast forehand ? Thanks |

The Palio AK47 (blue sponge) should be a bit faster. You can find sheets of it at AliExpress for below 10€/sheet. The top sheet isn't tacky so it's a bit more like a traditional Japanese rubber. |
