As many of you maybe have read, I started not so long ago to build and experiment with making blades.
Now I have reached a point where I can say I have an idea about the mechanics of a blade, how it bends and why. But still, if a design goes well on paper and proper values are there, there is still a big factor that I cannot calculate: the feel factor.
For this, I see there is only one methodology available: glueing some rubbers and hitting some balls.
I know that there are personal preferences and no two players are identical, but still there are classics in every rubber type/style that can help get the character of a blade.

So, what rubbers would you recommend for testing a blade for smashing, chopping, looping, spin reversal, anti, etc.?

For (hard) hitting with SP's, I allready have 2 recommendations: Friendship 802 and 105 Legend.
Any others?

Inverted rubbers are much more diverse. Maybe its better to focus on a few popular categories rather than 1 rubber best at 1 thing? From a technical perspective, there are:

Hard topsheet + Hard Sponge: Classic Chinese rubbers, try Hurricane 3, the cheaper PF4, or even the original 729. H3 is the most popular and just about anyone can relate. T05 Hard or Tibhar MX-S if $$$ is not an issue.

Soft + Hard: Seems to be the trend nowadays. Lots of options Andro Rasanter (47+) are very popular, but try the Xiom Vega Asia for something affordable (and IMO still one of the best).

Hard + Soft: T05FX comes to mind, Tibhar Aurus Sound for something cheaper. Your 729FX may fit, but its not a popular option and may not be representative of common choices.

Soft + Soft: Xiom Vega Europe, or the very cheap 729 Sky Wing/729 Focus III Snipe.

Focus 3 Snipe?!? I tested one and had in mind to buy 1 sheet. I used it on a stiff blade and I liked how the rubber compresses and the impact can be felt almost directly into the wood.

For the Hard sheet + Soft Sponge: Butterfly Rozena would be an option?

I don't have a Rozena, but tried clubmates'. I would say that is more of a medium-medium haha.

The Huricane 3 Neo would fit the category?

Yes, but it's the same as hurricane 3 but boosted. Original H3 is cheaper.

You need some metering device like digital vibrometer to better evaluate mechanical properties of the blade. E.g. magnitude and frequence of post-impact vibration.

Vibration Property
The Viibration Property is the quantified value illustrating the feeling of a blade on impact.
-- A Low vibration property in general signifies slower vibration on ball contact
and denotes a blade with a softer touch.
-- A High vibration property in general signifies faster vibration of the blade
on contact with the ball and denotes a blade with a harder touch.

Reaction Property
The Reaction Property is the quantified value illustrating the base speed of a blade.
-- A Low reaction property signifies a lower speed of the ball after contact with the blade.
-- A High reaction property signifies a higher speed of the ball after impact.
