I'm making a transition to C-PEN(already used cpen for 2 months, tested jpen but felt safer on cpen)
I'm going to use a Friendship 802 (short pips) on the FH, I saw that at least for me the RPB needs a common inverted rubber (I'm going to use the Sanwei CC OFF + blade). I am considering these two rubbers for my RPB, since I use TPB most of the time and active blocks with TPB as well, I will use RPB more for accuracy, control and speed.

I had the Focus III Snipe on the RPB. It's a good rubber to learn the proper stroke, before going to a more "powerful" rubber.

Yeah, the strength of penhold over shakehands is the middle, there's no transition between forehand and backhand and blocking in the middle and on the backhand without the transition requires a good TPB. RPB would be for driving and looping only, I'd think. As for the rubber - what does Xu Xin use? :lol: Tenergy 05. I guess that gives us a clue - something not tacky, and fairly soft (compared to the usual Chinese hard stuff like H3), with "glue effect". I'd try the AK47 Blue, or maybe even this new Sanwei Taiji Pink (which they're touting as a backhand rubber). The AK47 Blue would be a little cheaper, but it's a matter of a couple dollars.

In truth, I think any of a huge number of sheets would work equally well.. :lol:
