Hey Guys,
So my sponge from a nice bright yellow is now dirty grey.
How do clean the sponge?
I don't want to buy a new one and create more garbage.
Thanks

Sorry. I think I was not clear.
The sponge I want to clean is the external sponge I use to clean my rubbers after a session.
That external sponge (similar to a kitchen sponge but from yinhe and high quality) is now getting dirty

haha seriously a pic would help, is it pips out kind of rubber or pips in. i cannot imagine a yinhe sponge looking like a kitchen one, much less a yellow turning grey

Maybe you can let the sponge sit in water with detergent overnight and rinse thoroughly?
Have not tried it though.

If you go to Daiso they sell "Super Sponges" - nice, fine-grained white polyurethane sponges. When I first started playing again, I bought a pack of these to use for cleaning rubber. And then I found out what made them "Super" - they're ultra abrasive! No need to use soap when washing up. Probably NOT good for use on tacky rubbers - they'd probably strip the tackiness right off the rubber if you rub enough. After that I moved to some sponges they sold in the cosmetics section at Daiso. In the end I've not been using sponges at all - just wet the bat and rub off the water with the palm of the hand when you're done playing.

I'd think Super Sponge would be worth trying, if you don't use tacky rubber, or if you use perennially tacky rubber (the only one I've found is 729 Bloom). It'd probably help remove oxidized rubber from the surface. Try it with cheap rubber, of course, if you want to experiment.
