In making the Anti rubber sandwiches, some manufacturers are known to employ plastic derivatives instead of rubber materials. Using any materials other than rubber for making racket coverings is curently disallowed by the ITTF Technical Regulations T4.

You can easely tell those low-elasticity plastic derivatives by pressing down forcefully onto rubber surface. You can see a sizable pockmark remaining there for a while.
We'd like to know some of those rubbers with a plastic-like sponge, just for more study. Perhaps we need to relax the T4 requirements of the sponges somehow...

Thanks

Really? Based on most of your previous posts, you are more interested in reporting these to the ITTF to get them banned, rather than studying them.
This would be detrimental to all the users of these rubbers, and damaging to the retailers that stock them and the manufacturers that make them.

More pot stirring, of course. He's obviously after defensive rubbers which use "dampener" sponges, but he's too cheap to go out and buy them himself to see if his claims are true.

Dear Haggis,
Dear Iskandar,

Just listen here, in Russian legal system, we have a particular law against "misprision of felony" and another law of "failure to report criminals".
Australia has enacted the same laws ages ago, and Malaisia did it as well. Are they not?

I do not understand what laws you're referring to? Who is breaking the law?

He's finally figured out where I'm from..

Actually, in Russia, people who "reveal felonies" often end up dying of mysterious causes - like that guy who revealed the Sochi doping scandal.

From the aforementioned leaflet:

Quote:
"Rubber" (Laws 2.4.3.1 and 2.4.3.2) implies any material that can be stretched at room temperature
to twice its original length, and that, after being held in the stretched state for one minute, retracts
within one further minute to less than 1.5 times its original length.

Therefore you can use plastic or even fried chicken as long as it follows the description above. Also I don't think igor is trying to get these rubbers banned:
