Trying to emulate players such as Satoshi Aida and Nikolay Telnoy. My FH is more defensive and controlling, focused on spin, while my BH is my stronger attacking wing and what I use to finish points with.

FH: 70% fishing/chopping 30% counterlooping from mid distance

BH: 60% chopping 40% flick smash/loop drive

I've narrowed it down to these two setups and would appreciate some opinions, especially with the rubber choices.

Blade: Victas Koji Matsushita

FH: Victas VS>401

BH: Victas Triple Regular/VJC>07 Sticky Extra/VS>402

Blade: Donic Defplay Senso V3

FH: DHS Hurricane 3 Neo

BH: Yinhe Big Dipper/Jupiter II/Saturn Pro

Blade: Trinity Carbon
FH: Victas VS > 401
BH: Dr N Troublemaker OX
The first setup seems quite suitable, I think the 2nd setup will be too slow for counter-attack from mid-distance.

Which of the BH rubbers would you suggest?

Blade: Donic Defplay Senso
FH: Mark V HPS 2.0
BH: Dtecs OX
You could try to copy Satoshi Aida equipment directly. For the longest time he used Mark V HPS max sponge both sides on a custom all wood blade which I'm not 100% sure but I think was OFF-
Although I would probably go for an ALL ish blade and just try Mark V, I've got a sheet of HPS but never tried. But Mark V in 2.0 should be good.

There is someone I can ask that can contact him directly but only if you really really want to know

Last I heard he was using Rakza Z FH and Rising Dragon BH which is kind of what I was going for with the semi tacky BH.

He didn't switch long ago hence 'the longest time' but sure go for that if you want but I believe he changed his style a bit too since then to be more offensive. He also lost more too if I'm not wrong but I dunno how much I would put that down to equipment tbh

I was thinking 1.8 for the Victas.
