Just wanted to know if anyone had the experience of trying Melamine top tables like this?

if yes, then what is the difference between bounce, spin, and grips of this table and an MDF high-quality top (>19mm)? which one do you recommend if you need to fold it every time you finish your exercise?

It's only 5mm thick, so it's not going to have a good or consistent bounce compared to a 19mm MDF table.

That's quite typical for outdoor tables...as they're not really designed for serious players.

Melamine? That's what they use for kitchen counter tops... I'm sorry, when I saw this I just had to chuckle:

That looks flimsy as heck. It's not going to last more than a couple months, especially if you move it around. The frame will start buckling. The net doesn't even conform to the rules (it's supposed to stick out 6 inches past the table on each side). And look at the price... :?:

If you can afford it get the 25mm MDF. We just got one a few months ago and we love it. I find myself playing much better on it than on our older table (which I think was 18mm MDF). Nice thing was it was a locally made table, so it had all the trimmings - huge wheels with brakes, very sturdy frame, nice waterproof top (there was one day when we had a bad storm and we had a light mist blow on the table before we could get it out of the way.. no bad effects) - for a really good price. In case anyone's interested (and in the area):

Under USD400.
