Post subject:  Forehand rubber for modern defender

Hello everyone, i'm a modern defender with ranking around 1000 in italy (not that good considering that the level here is really low but i set up the italian world record for the fastest grow in one season, from 10000 to 1000 and i'm improving really fast)
I started playing 2 yrs ago coming from tennis, and six months ago i switched to long pips and started doing modern defence.
My blade is a Diode V and i play with feint long III on backhand (1.1mm) and tibhar EL-P on forehand (1.9mm).
I find really well with this setup but i actually want to switch my forehand rubber because i don't chop with forehand as filus or panagiotis and i think EL-P are too slow.
I tried 2.1 blluestorm but i didn't really liked it because i didn't had much control on it.
I was thinking to try tenergy 05 but the problem is their price, and i was also interested to try some tacky chinese rubbers like hurricane III or Dianchi D.
Can someone give me some advices?
I'm 15 btw

Bluestorm is quite bouncy. Perhaps you can try MX-P 1.9mm?

Yep .. I agree with Haggis, I found Bluestorm to be rather bouncy ..

I too play with LP, and almost never chop with the inverted side.. However, I do loop with the inverted with and twiddle to play with the inverted on the BH .. I quite like the following ..

  • Palio HK1997 Gold Max
  • DHS Hurricane Neo 3 42° max
  • Xiom Omega V or VII Pro max

Anything fast enough for fishing or looping at far distances... is going to be quite bouncy and touchy! The traits that make them desirable at a distance are basically opposite what you want for touch play closer to the table.

You can use more body power or get a faster rubber, and learn to control its speed when pushing etc.

You might try hybrid rubbers like joola golden tango ps, joola dynaryz zgr, or rakza z etc

But essentially, if you want a springboard/speedy rubber... it's going to be bouncier.

Or get a faster blade!

Yasaka Razka Z is good for forehand chopping. The slight tackiness helps to grip and control the ball when chopping on the FH. And its speed is fast enough for counter attacks.

Perhaps switching to a slightly faster blade would make your current forehand rubber work out a bit better? Feint III is a fairly slow rubber so a slight upgrade in blade speed should not be too bad for chopping on that wing.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
Btw i've seen that majority of people suggested me to play with a faster blade.
I was thinking to order a vkmo, but i don't really know if it is faster than diode v, anyone has any suggestion on a good blade?
May DHS 08x could work?
