Post subject:  Returning to training after 10 years and without a racket :(

Hello everyone!
After 10 years I am returning to training, I never competed except for amateur championships and the racket I used was made of used parts (in my country the sport was not very popular and it was very difficult to find equipment to play without spending a lot of money).
I played with the following rubbers: Yasaka Mark V M2 in FH and DHS Hurricane III Neo in BH (purchased used in good condition from a local player). The blade was very slow and of low quality, I don't even remember the brand.

From what I've been reading on the forum I would have to avoid tensor rubbers and carbon blades (ideally a 5-ply blade right?), my game type is offensive mainly FH, serve with a lot of spin (both sides ) and my BH is a bit weak in topspin.
I don't want to buy something that soon falls short, since little by little I am remembering the technique and I am advancing quickly in training.

Any suggestion?

I was in a similar situation in 2019 . I played in high school in early 2000s . I can tell you the game changed a lot and became a different ball game overall with the larger diameter plastic ball. I would recommend that you start with something that is off -. I had great feeling with septear lead and i could recommend you start that with some tensor rubbers . About your statement about tensor rubbers and carbon blades. I d say depending on your level and especially if you are an all out attacker. Either the blade or the rubber has to be fast or both . So if you go with 5 ply wood you should get fast rubbers. If you choose a super fast blade like super zlc type then choose softer rubbers to get spin and feel. It s certainly a million dollar question to which blade you d like. It s gonna be a different feel than before regardless and you d have to train and adapt. If just starting something like rakza 7 (softer ) rakza 10 would be good rubbers to start. If you want to keep the Hurricane then i d say you can stick with that too. Good luck
