OP - what would you do if you knew a rubber were illegally boosted? Refuse to play? Report to the tournament organiser? Just feel justified in grumbling about cheats? Genuine question.[/quote]]

The question is not what I would do because I did play against boosted rubbers already. The great level of spin and speed plus the noise is noticeable. My question is that illegally boosting can be undetectable as long as you know how not to exceed the limits of VOCs and thickness.

I don't complain at a tournament anyway because there is no way to catch them out.Only those who boost uncarefully do get caught.

I asked this question to Igor as he seems to worry so much about pips.He never appears to attack double inverted loopers who illegally boost. It looks he is more interested in talking badly about pips.

If you ask me,I am also against unenforceable rules

How to know if a rubber is illegally boosted?

Simply look for the user to go on to a minimum of 5 TT forums and brag about the boost job with pictures down to the detail of the fine hairs of a gnat's azz.
