Åkerströms team had a very good 3-0 win over one of the expected top teams, Åkerström won his match 11-6, 12-10, 11-6 against a guy he usually go 50/50 against. I haven't gotten any reports on how he played or which material he used ;) but it sure is a good start of the season.

And lucky me got to see 2 matches with Fabian.

Really!? Dornenglanz OX? That proves he's still not settled on a LP since DG hasn't been around too long. What blade and FH rubber did he use?

Nice vids btw, really good quality and good angle, thanks!

Thnx Auzcar !

I didn't care that much for the rest of his bat, but it looked like his blade was Donic Senso Powerplay, but I'm not sure. FH I didn't see.

Something funny, I asked him if it was Hans Thalin that gave him the DG, he said yes, Thalin had tried some Norwegian guy's bat and liked it a lot...

Guess who's bat that was

Too bad, he just lost a very close match (12-10 in seventh set) to a danish ranked around 700 in the qualifications to Swedish Open (SOC). That match was boradcasted at bwin.com. This is a betting-cmpany that actually broadcastes lots of table tennis, but you need to pay a little something the first time to create an account, then you can watch as much as you want and they normally vieew other matches than itTV and they cover lots of competitions.

I actually think I have an old account there, do you know if it's possible to watch now or is it only live?

My friend who watched a few minutes of the match says it is only live. I don't have an account, so I can't watch. I think they are covering table 2.

His game has evolved a lot..... He hardly uses the bh side of his racket now and it seems that he only plays with the pips when he's forced to do so.
After viewing the vids (thanks a bunch Chopper Man) I'd say that he plays 99% of the time with the FH which can be a problem if he's having a bad forehand day.

It's good to see that he attacks more than when he played FL but I think he would benefit from chopping with his LP as he's always away from the table.

Cheers,
Ma'man
