Nice interview. Might have to give those ice baths a go ... just don't know if I'd ever get past my big toe. Also, interesting to see the archery target in the background. He seems to have the same sporting interests as me.

what the ice bath does is completely numb your legs. i belive he was telling me that as they warm back up again, the blood vessels expand and actually heal your legs to help them recover from uscle soreness.

its extremely handy when you get sore legs from a big event/lots of really tough training. while it won't make you feel 100% the next day, at least you can bend down without your knees shaking and falling into a mess on the floor at the next multi-ball

Highly reccomended, i did it after 2 days of 9-5 training, i felt like i was going to collapse and there was no way i could keep going over the week. The next day - much MUCH better. i could move again, i was sore but at least my body wasn't screaming in pain like it had been

The principle is probably hundreds of years old: when Finns have a sauna (sometimes 140 degrees C), they follow it with either a cold shower or a jump into a cold lake. Some even go as far as cutting a hole in the ice and jumping into that. So, I suspect the therapy of the ice bath goes back to my ancestors!

I found it interesting that Will saw Simon as his biggest rival, yet Simon saw himself as his biggest rival! Its interesting to compare these mindsets.

As Simon said, if you're No. 1 (Henzell) then others are your rivals. Anyone below the top must realise that their greatest rival is themselves. This is what I try and drum into my team time and time again: the real opponent is yourself!

My own personal view is that no matter where you are on the ladder, your greatest rival must be yourself, i.e. your shadow!
