Recently got a new car for myself as my old sub-compact already racked up some miles...

Got myself a new 2012 Hyundai Elantra.. The car gets great gas mileage.. Getting between 35 and 40 mpg..

Which one? The Jeep, Elantra or '68 Vette?

Wow, you guys love your cars. And why not? I suppose the US will always enjoy exceptionally cheap petrol prices (gasoline, to you). I'm curious, what's the average price over there? I know you buy it by the gallon and we Aussies by the litre (liter, to you).

Currently we pay about $1.40 per litre (slight variations, plus those silly supermarket docket discounts). Which comes to about $5.32 per gallon (that's 3.8 litres to a gallon).

What's your gallon price?

the price of cars in the US is also so much better than in Australia.... this is the price of the Elantra in Australia:
2011 Hyundai Elantra manufacturer’s list prices in AUD (excluding government and dealer charges) - need to add around $2,000:

•Active manual – $20,590
•Active automatic – $22,590
•Elite automatic – $25,590
•Premium automatic – $28,990

Pushblocker, how does this compare?

Hey as long as you have a place to put your stuff for Table Tennis and it get you there thats great. I just got a new Ford Focus to save money on gas going to work and club to play. I feel it is my duty to not only try to buy american..*( made In Michigan) but to help stimulate the enconomy.

Great looking Ride Pushblocker. I am also working on a Pushblocker type of game using the Kris blade and Talon. I changed out my Donic Big Slam Fh rubber and replaced with a non-Tensor rubber. Talon lost control and that fast push to the corners. I guess its the *TENSOR EFFECT. tends to speed up the BH, But I noticed control is better..nice sound even with Talon. Have you ever had that happen to you?

Peace Gig
*now lets all go out a buy a car

New blade set-up... Nittaku Monophonic with Dawie 388d-1 ox and Big slam max ( really like this one) down to FH rubber selections--I like it better than talon
flaired handle and 90 grams

Hyundai has come a long way. I rented a Sonata earlier this month and I was very impressed.
BTW, is that yellow Vette a Stingray?

The looks didn't change. I believe that a change to the steering was the only major change between 2011 and 2012.. Love mine.. The interior space is incredible for a small car as also the trunk space.. The Sonata really doesn't have a lot more space than the Elantra but gets 5 mpg worse fuel economy.. Initially, I wanted to get the Sonata but after researching and checking out interior and trunk space, I opted for the Elantra.. Beautiful cars, both the Elantra as also the Sonata!

Right now, the cheapest gas station is $3.12 per gallon (about 82 cents per liter) but the common price is about $3.25 per gallon..

It depends on the options.. A low option manual starts at about US$ 17,000 and the high option cars are around US$ 25,000. Theoretically, the price starts at under $16,000 BUT that would be without A/C, cruise control etc. etc.. You can't find any no option cars.. The minimum option package that you can find is comfort package 1 which adds about $1,500 to the MSRP

My JEEP is a US made car.. Elantras and Sonatas are actually made in the USA, specifically in Alabama. Sure, most of the parts are Korean, but they are made here in the US. As for the Talon, I'm having problems with directional control with it.. Just blocking works fine but when I try to place the ball in the corners, if often goes long.. I can't control it like the old DTECS.. I'm still playing the old DTecS.

The "Stringray" name started appearing in 1969 (on the left and right front).
The 1968 Vettes were almost identical to 1969 but didn't have the Stingray badge.. The car is still considered a Stingray despite NOT having the emblem on the side.
