“We can think of no better tribute to Marty Reisman than to see sponge defeated by the Table Tennis Nation paddle he designed. This is proof that the sponge paddle is a flawed part of modern table tennis and players of all abilities need to look to an alternative like the Table Tennis Nation paddle,” said Cooper Fallek, Table Tennis Nation’s new President.

I don't get why they come up with a carbon hardbat? as you can't use in normal competition or hardbat competition
so only for the ..... nothing

Would love to see the video of this.

"... that spending hundreds on table tennis rackets is not the key to victory."

Roger that. But it doesn't always hurt either

Buying equipment is like getting into a relationship. One night stands are great but you get the most out of it when you work at it for a long time.

I guarantee you I'm better with a $200 bat. In fact, mine is more like $275 and it's sorta legal too...

Just thinking out loud..

What if like sandpaper, we will be force to use one set up of rubber and blade only, will it improve the quality of play? Same for pimples, what if there is only 1 set up available? Removing the variables, it will come down to skills pound for pound..

Enjoy the game. It is a never ending learning experience once you play and keep the ball on that 45 sq ft of space or should I say half of that space.

i watched the game and to me it was purely exhibition, with long pants and lobbing, mind you the smaller player could realy use the sandpaper bat well

Looked like 1600 level inverted play to me. Definatly an exibition. No opening loops, no power loop put aways, no angles, both hitting to each other, blocking the hardbat serves back. Play the inverted guy in real competition and you will see a different person. :n:

Rodderz, bat is 9 layers woods, 2 layers carbon - laws say bat must be at 85% of natural wood - therefore the bat itself could be legal?
cheers

after looking at the video the claims made in the original link look quite unreasonable to me.
