the tomahawk serve is very good, loaded with spin, but try to stand squared to the table and bend your knees even further

It's great that you are working on your serves - such practice will definitely pay dividends for you. They appear to be coming along reasonably well and will no doubt keep improving. Continually strive for more spin, better timing, and good control over your placement.

Try to be more focused/deliberate and spend a lot more time on each individual serve. At present you just grab the ball and serve it with no thought about what you are about to do. Check out how focused top players are when they serve (Ovcharov is a good example).

Your reverse pendulum needs more bat speed coming into the ball. You currently start your swing too close to the ball - try to have a little more backswing.

With all your serves try to contact the ball faster and finer so as to get greater spin.

I agree with the advice already given, especially the being more deliberate and slow down with the serve preparation. Practice as you mean to play.
Your ball toss starting position should be table height, starting your ball toss so high means you are contacting the ball high, means it bounces high on the other side, means it's easier for opponent to attack it. So start toss low, table height is lowest you can go, throw it up and contact ball at about net height, will help keep serve low on the other side. Watch the serve preparation of the pro's and look for helpful clues as to what they all have in common when preparing to serve.
Tomahawk could maybe use more wrist snap to give it a touch more kick, to get more wrist snap have it flexed the other way before starting the movement so you can get very good bat speed with the wrist movement.
It's a very good thing to work on your serves, well done.

Some good variety there
I find that against better players the tomahook serve comes back fast to my backhand while Im still coming back up lol
so make sure you recover quickly after serving (and even incorporate being ready after your serve)

Your reverse pendulum is easy to see, so be-careful when you use it and mainly do as a quick change to the normal pendulum (so try as disguise it a bit more )

The Ma lin serve is good for fun games but unless you can make it 90% over you will find yourself just giving points away

the secret of serves is serving for a reason !
serve to win a point
serve to create a bad or predicted return (setting up third ball attack)
serve to reduce their second ball attack

and do this by placement, length, spin variation, being ready, planing, practicing against players, remembering what works, experimenting and working hard on third ball attack

I think for all serves, particularly the tomahawk, you hold the bat too tightly. Try a bit looser in the fingers, gives more snap and deception.

Good work in progress!

your Ma Lin serve has plenty of backspin but from the angle that you have recorded the serve, I see that it is bouncing too high. Try to work on keeping it low as it would be much more difficult to attack.

Watched your videos. Feel I might be able to help since serving is my strongest part of my game... Probably because I have nobody to practice at home. ;)

It looks like you have the ability to put on a very spiny serve but I feel like they're very easy to read and thus easy to block back with the proper racquet angle. My experience has been that I struggle against servers where at times there is a shred of doubt in what the ball has on it. Sometimes a more subtle last second wrist flick can be more effective than a big sweeping motion.

Try this if you can.

1 - Try to make your stance and arm movement the same for every serve. Then before contact, put on the spin you want. This gives your opponent less time to react.

2 - Stand with your body more closed towards the table and get that toss very close to your body. Almost to the point to where it's hidden (note: almost).

3 - After you feel comfortable with all your serves and they look relatively similar, you can place them exactly where you want, then work on fake moves after the point of contact.

Check out this video and see how Ma Long performs these serves. Look how closed his body is, where the toss is and how similar they all look. But they all vary from pendulum (top & back spin), reverse pendulum (top & back spin).

Hope this helps.

There is a lot one could say but I will only mention a couple of things...

- you are still rushing your serves. This results in faults, very little spin, and high bounces.

- you don't prepare for your FH's and almost always never play a stroke. Most of the time you sort of poke/push at the ball with no backswing

- you tend to just swing automatically at the ball without thinking about each individual shot

Sorry to be critical. I'm guessing that when you get more practice time under your belt you will improve sharply. Stick at it and try to get yourself a coach if you can. Good luck. :)

i appreciate your reply :) mr. carbonman
thanks for pointing it out
yeah i sorta did notice that my plays are not that good
the ball goes too fast for me sometimes that i have no time to think
usually when i try to think it out i sometimes dont notice that the ball has already passed me

ill try to slow down from now on

Perhaps a better way to phrase what I meant is:

"- you tend to just swing automatically at the ball without appropriately responding to each individual shot that is hit at you"

Every ball is different and you need to make subtle adjustments to deal with those differences. At present you tend just to swing without considering the nature of the oncoming ball. Recovering quicker, preparing earlier, and not rushing should help in this area. :)
