It looks like Red is OX LP but I am not sure.

Anyways I sent an email to some spammer in China about Xintong Zhou but I don't expect much from this lead. I have a few other channels that could pan out but don't expect too much from this noobie OOAK reporter.

She uses red Dawei 388D-1 ox, the same as many Chinese penhold LP blockers whom I've played against. There's really no magic in her LP rubber, just solid technique and training.

It's late but thanks RR.

I bought a sheet of 802 1.5 mm from OOAK that you recommended on another topic...going to make a new setup with sp/lp. Might put that on my toxic 3 which already has the dawei 388 d1. Love the way she plays and she is cute too even with short hair. Love that match with KMH!!!

Thanks to samsonopp again.

Interesting YouKU with Zhou vs Wu Yang.
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNjE2NzYyNTA4.html

Some observations regarding this low-quality video, really choppy ;) :
1) Wu's sp chops 80% against Zhou's FH LP loops which she uses 90% against her almost like a drill or practice session - seems like that - also this is a case where sps provide spin against lp attacks wonder how lp chop would do against ZXT's fh
2) Wu doesnt seem like she respects her Super League coach, the guy from the Singapore womens team
3) How do the chinese make money from the superleague with so many empty seats in such a large venue?
4) really admire ZXT's fh attack strokes with OX LP 388 D-1
5) Why does ZXT use sp? She hardly uses the black side except for serves so why not inverted????

Did a little research on the superleague...

Quote:
The Chinese Super League has been operational for quite some time. Every year, the tournament has maintained a high degree of competition. They have enough teams and each of them has a powerful line up. This year, they even attracted the participation of the German superstar Timo Boll. Because of the high profiling of the Super League, a lot were also wondering if the competition is also a success financially.

According to a certain industry: "It is a false prosperity. Most of the tickets are just complimentary tickets."

According to a club operation manager, "Most of the table tennis halls cannot accomodate more than 5000 spectators. In order to earn profit, we should put high prices on the admission tickets. However, imposing these tickets will certainly have an impact on the attendance. If the tickets would be set too low then it will just be like a donation. So many of the arenas ask for support from various enterprises. In return, we give them complimentary tickets as a sign of gratitude."

The Chinese Super League has gathered the best players in the world. As the world's highest form of table tennis league, the clubs' operations can be very bleak. Every club must make both ends meet. They can only do so much in order to maintain a normal operation. This is an embarassing situation of the Chinese Super League.

There seems to be a confusion on whether ZXT's FH rubber is OX or not.

Unless she changed it recently, I know for a fact that it has a 0.5mm sponge.

ZXT took part in the recent Qatar Open. Based on the only picture I saw, her blade is no longer Nittaku Runlox-5.

Hi Ajay.

When you say FH rubber do you mean the red side as shown in your pic?

Nice pic of her...always knew she would look better with longer hair.

Yes, probably it's a Nittaku Bizelox C

Hmm good guess... here is a close-up. It does seem there is some marking below the white logo, perhaps even a little reddish. However, colours are not always accurate in pictures.

What a great thread. Another good example for me to follow. I've been playing the inverted/LP twiddle style for about a month and my play has never been better.

So far my knowledge of LP close to the table stokes has been the short hop chop block vs topspin. The slightly open face mostly forward and up aggressive push vs backspin and that's about it.

I've recently discovered that vs topspin, I can actually loop a ball. Its almost the same stoke as a loop vs backspin. Anyways, I believe this stoke is creating slight topspin back towards the opponent (the balls at least seems to arch as if topspin) If that is the case, the spin is not reversed then. Is this correct? Is this what is commonly referred to as the roll over shot? I have no idea what that is.

Thanks.
