Are there any robots ( other than Amicus )
that can be programmed to give different spin per move ?

ie :
1) backspin (random strength) to short/left
2) topspin (random strength) to long random position
3) topspin (random strength) to long random position

to simulate the flicking of short backspins into topspin rallies ,
to use the robot as a tool to train set plays for the first 5 balls.

Amicus fits the bill , but its price is kinda high , hopefully someone can suggest a cheaper alternative.

If you are in the US, check out Power Pong 3000 which is identical to the Amicus Professional. It's cheaper $1749 about the same price range of a Y&T v989h or Paddle Palace H2W pro.

That pong 3000's picture looks more like a Basic panel. Unless they put up the wrong photo the Pro looks to have quite a few more buttons.

Yes the photo is incorrect, they used to sell 3 models like butterfly, I was told. Now they only sell the professional equivalent.

Attached is a photo of my control panel.

I just received my Power Pong 3000 from Attila yesterday. Great communication on the phone and in email. It does not come with a case/bag but it did come with everything else and some balls too.

Cheers

First I've heard of this robot. Who makes this? Where is it available?

It's identical with the Butterfly Amicus Professional robot. It's made in Hungary, the manufacturer makes it both for Butterfly and Power Pong. It's under licensed to Power Pong because at first Butterfly did not planned on selling it to the US, but after some time they decided to sell it anyway. That's why there's 2 brands of the same robots here in the US.

@Cap just buy a Newgy Tote Bag it fits the Power Pong 3000 just fine, it's only 60 bucks.

I plugged the thing together yesterday and turned the ball rate knob and out came balls. :D Now to figure out how to use all the controls.

Cheers

Barugi:

Are you saying that the manufacturer owns the rights to the Amicus/Powerpong? Or is it owned by Butterfly, who licenses the rights to Powerpong to sell it as well. I'm thinking the latter, but wanted to be sure.

As that robot is identical to Amicus Pro,I will repost my post here too.

I bought my Butterfly Amicus Pro 2 weeks ago...I am satisfied with it,however I found the manual to be too short and confusing...I still do not understand how to create exercises and save them for future use,so now I can use it only with manual help of my trainer not by myself if I want to train and use it to give me 8 different balls or less...

Anyone can explain to me how to deal with exercises step-by-step,please???Or maybe someone has extensive manual with detailed explanation and etc???

Thanks in advance!

Dan

On paper "Paddle Palace Robot S4W Pro", which is the same things as Y&T S-27 (but shorter warranty!!!) should fit the bill.

I'm myself trying to decide whether 2 heads with 2 wheels each like SAW Pro (one set to do underspin and the other topspin) will do a better job than Amicus's 3 heads.
