Interesting to say the least, let's say all have the same weight like 90g would u still pick b2 over viscaria? Yeah I agree on that handles side euro makers I find fits better on me, but I do have big hands anyways.

FB2 and Viscaria tested earlier have similar weight 87-88gr. Long 93gr.

Yes, I would choose FB2 over Viscaria even with different weight. If you don't bother with small handle.

I play with FB2 for about two weeks now and still feel a bit bothered, though, less and less (adapting period).

I was wayyyyy interested at the b2 cause of the price, and after hearing it's very close to hl I'm all ears. But even with the nittaku I fith the nittaku I'm using right now, I think it messes up my wrist a little on certain days. Maybe I'll choose viscaria anyways for next blade and make the nittaku lf as backup.

Too bad... If you can visit the store and choose yourself. Even with viscaria there's smaller and bigger handles.

It's been awhile since I used HL1. I might dust it off and try for fresher comparison. Tried Viscaria years ago, but fortunately tried it again just a couple of weeks ago. FB2 has more (wood) feel. Long/Viscaria has dead(er) feel to me. I like FB2 a lot. Been using for two weeks or so and liking it more and more.

Here's a shot of comparison between FB2 and HL5.

I'll take another of FB2 vs HL and also FB2 vs Viscaria, HL vs Viscaria for you tomorrow.

Great picture, love the way you photograph things... you've got a real knack for it!

I used to use dslr, but now too lazy and just use my phone. For my purpose it's enough.

I should have used real camera for comparison shots though since the macro mode should give much clearer results.

HL5 with FB2 is quite similar. With Viscaria a bit different, but not overly drastic.

Could both hl5 and b2 be off+ and viscaria off? Is it easily be categorised in that way or the lines are blurred in that category. I'll probably just satiate my eh in future for the b2 since it's quite cheap. But in near future I'll have to settle on the viscaria first since I've already found a 90 g one.

Could you give us a more detailed review of the B2 blade? It seem really interesting...

@kim, Viscaria probably a safer choice for many people. Easier to sell afterward too.

@carbon136, any particular questions? I'll see if i can answer some of them...

As far weight goes, I've seen 88 to 94, many at 91-92-93, all these with the plastic on, so minus 2-3gr.

Thickness from slightly over 6 mm to 6.2 mm, again with plastic on. The one I'm using is 6 mm (without plastic).

I don't think it would play like HL5 (as in the same as), as DHS won't shoot itself in their foot.
There would be some resemblance, and most likely the difference in quality of material used which accounts for the different in price. 8)

One of my packages from out of the country finally arrived this morning. Took one month to the day, sent July 26th and received today August 26th.

At first I didn't expect that it was the blade I bought because of the packaging. I cringed a little bit inside when I saw the shipper's name and address, knowing what it is. This is the second time of having a scare when receiving shipment of blades. The first was from somewhere in western hemisphere, the blade was stuff in one of those slightly padded brown envelope (yes, envelope, not box). Good thing that both arrived safely.

After opening, I inspected the blade. Some dirt and discoloration from use. Nothing unexpected, seen better and worse condition. Weighed it, 2 grams heavier than stated, also okay, perhaps from the dirt and what not.

But then...

What do we have here... a spot on the side of the blade. I push very lightly and the top gave way. ;( ;( about 1.5 cm long. Unexpected, as the seller didn't mention it.

Another reminder to ask for complete photos when buying used blades. I looked through the photos the seller sent me again, and just noticed there was no photo of that side of the blade. My bad for not being thorough.

Put it in the shelf for now, until I have some spare time to clean, fix the spot, and seal the blade, before trying it out...

Here's to hoping the second blade will arrive in better condition than this one.
