He is a prodigy child, undebatably. And he is not yet a real Champion. Mental instability is the very demerit of Harimoto.

I must admit his shouting after each point he wins is very off-putting...makes it harder to 'like' him. :(

Fan Zhendong kept playing out the same point over and over and mostly lost them... lol
Maybe because it was group stage and thats why, didnt matter if he won that one or not he was advancing. Regardless its a great win for Harimoto, too bad he lost right afterwards =(

I think he loses in purpose, it allows him to play further his chinese partner, and it ends by victory of the chinese players. If he wins, he will have to play his partner, and japan can go on 2nd place.
I saw this match, he played passive, only blocked game, no power.
As at the Olimpics.

I love Harimoto's game. I just have to ignore the over-cho'ing.

And...I think his tactics made FZD play passively. He did that on occasion in their last meeting too. I don't believe in the CNT tree fixing premise. And if I did, I'd lose respect for the CNT.
