Wang Xi is playing with black FH and red BH now. He also seems to be a lot more defensive again.

I didn't know he played other pips. Besides he always played black BH as long as I can remember, including P1-R.

Look at the image on the video of him versus stefan fergel, you can see clear that he used donic spike at some moment.
and by the image on the game versus abdel looks like still donic spike cause the logo are not in the center of the rubber like p1r.

Especially in the game against Boll, I got the impression Wang uses short pips now. He played a very 'direct' blocking style on bh while also his chopping movement is differrnt compared to earlier periods in his career.

Cover pics of the videos underline this impression, don't you think so? Does anyone have more info?

In the cover pics of the video shows donic spike pimples. donic just have 1 shortpips, baxter, and the rubber dont look like that.
