I know I'm beating a dead horse, but these inconsistent and nonsensical rules are exactly why I never care if someone is "cheating" by using frictionless long pips. Or even treating long pips. In fact, I blame the rules for making it harder to know if they are treated.

Rule of thumb concerning policies and practice change. If you can't enforce it, or you can't measure it, then you shouldn't have a rule about it. It's usually safer to change or eliminate the policy and let people learn how to deal with it, otherwise you create an environment of ambiguity, which is what we have in TT with things like service height, hiding serves, boosters, treated rubbers, and frictionless anti, etc.

I'd rather be able to look at a racket, and know it's frictionless, then having to guess during a match if it's treated. If frictionless pips were allowed, I would be able to see the name and brand and be like "oh, that is Hallmark Original" and then begin to develop a strategy for dealing with them. But if it's treated P-1R, I might be confused as to why they are so slippery.

I'll bet the ITTF made them quit selling it.

According to Dr N, this new version will be "even a bit slower and a bit more disruptive (spin reversal) than the original version". It won't have the ITTF logo.

I suspect the ITTF would not have liked them selling the old version, since it still carried the ITTF logo, so they've made a new version without it.

I just enquired to Dr N asking if their new superblock extreme would be on sale again as I noticed it was not at present, they replied saying that the ITTF have stopped them selling it anymore despite it only being sold for recreational use and not having ITTF logo on it , unbelievable.

Both parties in this controversy are wrong .First, the ITTF does not explain thoroughly their reasons, just say they do not want to see any FL play at the table is not a sound and legal argument .

On the other hand, DR.N does not do anything but follow what the dictatorship wants him to do ,which is a bit understandable since if he loses the business, game over . .

I think DR N. would still be making good money for recreational players only but , of course, the amount of business would be greatly reduced worldwide .

I don't understand why Dr. NB pulled-out this rubber from their website. Is the ITTF something to do about it?

JFYI:
In one of the recent videos, Alexei of https://tt-maximum.com/ said that although the Super Block isn't listed on their website for an untold reason, they would be able to get you both red and black sheets, in OX, if you contact them directly.

For those who understand Russian, he says that at 53:20 in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9EoEjXXwl4
