What are the five worst cars to buy? Big surprise - Audi, BMW, Mercedes. (Or maybe not.. those were already the last cars I would have bought already...) Not to mention the new Chinese-made Jaguars and Porsches.

FANCY PHYSICS OF RUBBER MATERIAL.

Table Tennis Rubber should get colder a little bit as compared to the ambient air, I believe.

Just discovered this group. Always late - they've been around for years!

The above is very good music, indeed.

The below is also good... in its own, very special, way.

Good god. Isn't that Sailor Bubba? (You would have had to attend Anime Central in Chicago circa 1997-98 to know who I'm talking about.. )

Oh goodness.. he's more famous than I thought, there's tons of photos online. Not to mention they actually made him into PLASTIC TOY...

Postmodern Jukebox apparently takes modern pop music and re-does them in old styles (swing, motown, 1950s doo-wop, even hillbilly/bluegrass). They don't just do klezmer, though that's one of my favorite pieces.

Jebrail's exultation dance. Vatican City attendants intoxicated with stale bear and from eating ice-cream excessively

Yeah, I didn't know about Sailor Bubba.
So, these guys are actually doing a second-level cosplay - cosplaying someone who's cosplaying someone else...

Yep, mine, too. The "Dream On" cover is also pretty darn good.

Haven't seen this until today. :)
Or should this go to the "flat earth" thread?..

First came across Puddles on Postmodern Jukebox. I thought this version of "The Sound of Silence" was REALLY interesting and neat. Interesting changes in key and octave. Turns out it's actually a "cover" of an .. what to call it .. arrangement .. by a Chicago heavy metal group called Disturbed (there's a video of them performing it on Conan O'Brien's show). It seems to have gotten a lot of fans, some of whom have done "covers" of it on YouTube, some don't seem to realize there was this duo called Simon and Garfunkel who first performed the song..

Anyhow.. I really like Puddles.
