Tryijng out short pips on both sides anyone tried?

I tried waran and moristo sp on different blades, soon as I take a step back I seem to lose power.

I also found that carbon blades did not seem to work as well even very fast carbon blades.

After experimenting I seem to hit better with victas 102; I bought victas 102 max red/black, what blades do you think will work best?

I am going to try it on all wood blades, starting with firewall then mazunov, any suggestions?

Thanks

This is the problem with short pips. You have to attack close to table and hit the ball at the top of the bounce. Unless you're Falck, of course.. :lol:

A thick 7-ply is the most balanced. Stiga Clipper, Andro CS7, Joola Viva, anthing betwen 6.7-7mm from any brand really.

Mazunov is good too, a little harder, but not as solid as the 7-plies.

Hi,

in "Reviving the Classic Pips-Out Style for Shakehanders"

Kees discussed this theme comprehensively.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. This is what I have realized so far;

Tried short pips mostly v102 on 7 plies even clipper cr and black force pro did not have speed i wanted.

V102 is wonderful on the jsk, but rakza po for me was not as comfortable as v102 on jsk. Rakza po did not seem to play well on my wood blades at least not as comfortable as v102, this all may be a personal preference.

Funniest monent so far; v102 on firewall plus, i laughed soon as my bh touched the ball, took off like a rocket

804-20 pro 35 degreas. Slow on my wood blades, seems to play better on carbon eg tb spirit, but still not enough speed for me. Will keep experimenting.

I am beginning to realize different sp may play differently on wood vs carbon blades

Thanks for the link, that Is some intense reading.
