I thought it may be interesting to start a thread on how much our bats weigh.

My set up is:

Timo Boll ALC + Tenergy 05 + Dr Neubauer Explosion + Bty Overgrip = 176g

What about yours?

Blade: Donic Persson Power Play
FH: Donic Bluestorm Z3
BH: Tibhar Aurus Soft
Depends on bat I use...

Lighter blades (low 80s grams) overall weight is mid 180s grams.

Medium heavy blades (mid 90s grams) overall weight is low 190s grams

Heavier blades (100g+) weight is over 200 grams

Alll are well balanced and play well.

I use mostly wooden blades the last year.

Modern penholder here with 190g (Nittaku Acoustic with double DHS TG2 Neo). No gaps.

She’s slightly head heavy...

It will change the balance of the bat slightly - making the handle heavier will shift the centre of mass towards the handle and hence will make the bat less head heavy. It may be worth trying.

I replaced my BH TG2 (40 deg, 2.2) with another TG2 in 39 deg, 2.15. Saved 1g! Now at 189g total weight.

Maybe it’s just me but the balance feels noticeably better. Might be mental, but I’ll run with that any day!

Right now I've gone back to bt555 with 2× factive in 1.8 mm. On both sides. Total beginner setup, but this is until I myself Feel that I have good enough consistency or when the rubbers dies (just got myself a robot). Then I'll try a Victas V11 Extra in 2 mm. Don't know if it'll be too fast for my forehand, but then I'll use it for my backhand and try something else for forehand. I just find it a bit difficult to find something proper at a low weight.

The current setup weighs 174g.

Just switched up a bit:
Nittaku Acoustic (C. Pen)
Fh: DHS TG2 2.2
Bh: DHS TG2 Neo 2.2
Edge tape (instead of Foam edge tape)

187g total weight. Feels completely different!
Lots of control but also LOTS of effort required.
