197g.

I just weighed my setup (Tube Carbo, FH: H2, BH: 729 Transcend, Tennis grip tape) a while ago and was very surprised to see that!!! I've been using that for months. The blade alone weighed 95g which was very surprising since it's a 5-ply penhold.

It does feel heavy compared to my previous ones. In my earlier games, one session, my middle finger got numb so I sanded a bit around the edges and it's fine now.
You think I should switch to a lighter, thinner blade? I'm mostly block/loop and I feel I'll become a more aggressive looper if I get a lighter blade.

Yes one side and colour sheet, very short cork handle, 8mm rather than 10mm blade.

I haven't weighted my set-ups, but I like my CPen blades 80-82 g.

My setup: fuga cp, h3 neo, magna tc 2
It weighs 168g. The blade weighs 82g.
I've found it hard to control anything heavier than 170g.

My Schlager J-pen weighs 81 grams without rubber and 118 grams with Coppa Silver X3 (forehand only).
If you like the performance of your current blade, then it is better to buy the same, but this time you should ask what is the weight options available. Perhaps you can get one weighing 85 grams or lighter.

I believe mine is over 200g.

Set up in my signature.

Correction: 197g total.

Your signature is confusing. Can you clarify?

Oh wait, I think I get it now. You say “FH/BH” and some rubber- which I guess represents your forehand and traditional backhand? The you list “RPB” which I guess would be the backside of your blade.

Yes— my blade is an old 1970’s DHS PF4 032. I play penhold mainly single sided using DHS 651 Short pips 2.2mm. I recently started RPB “Reverse Penhold Backhand” using the other side of the bat Like Wang Hao, and that rubber is DHS Skyline 2 #19 at 2.2mm. I love this setup very much, but haven’t tried any new school gear yet.
